Club Referees

Welcome to the Bayside United FC Club Referee page

At Bayside United FC we have two types of Club Referees:

  • – Small Sided Football Referees
  • – 11 a side Club Referees

Small Side Football Referees (SSF Referee)

Our SSF referees look after all in-house under 6 to under 8 matches, as well as all Football Brisbane scheduled under 9 to under 11 mini-roo matches.

Bayside United FC runs a Small Side Football Referee Development Program (SSFRDP), with training taking place at the Club and via online resources, available in a Referee Development Learning Management System (RDLMS). Click here to access the RDLMS

11 a-side Club Referees

Our 11 a-side Club Referees are assigned both friendly and scheduled Football Brisbane under 12 to Senior Football (Men’s and Women) matches.

To become an 11 a-side Club Referee, you must complete the Football Queensland Club Referee Program first. Once you’ve completed this FQ Club Referee Program the Club will work with you to help develop your skills in this area and provide monthly training nights as well.

Our Club highly encourages all Club Referee’s to go on and complete the full Level 4 Referee course with Football Brisbane, to both help develop you as a referee and to enable you to enter higher levels of refereeing, should you decide to take your referee interest to a higher level.

Our Aim

The primary aim for the Bayside United FC Club Referee program is to:

  • – Develop high quality SSF Referees
  • – Develop good communication skills for SSF and Junior level referees
  • – Help develop the next generation of Football Brisbane / Football QLD / FIFA referees
